Satellite CEMA
Space is a strategic domain for achieving CEMA (Cyber Electromagnetic Activities) effects, serving as a prime platform for surveillance, interception and electronic warfare. Satellites and dedicated devices can collect RF uplink and downlink signals, geolocate threats and disrupt adversary communications.
Examples of space interceptors include USA-245 (NRO), Shiyan-6 and Russia’s Luch/Olymp-K program.
In the future, small LEO constellations could provide persistent and resilient capabilities for the orbital CEMA domain.
